Heyy guysss...(assuming my blog still has those 2 loyal followers left!)...its been a long long time since I scrabbled something here..not that i was lazy all these days but I was just...just...just...BUSY...not just any busy...I mean serious...mind-boggling...no-time-to-call-home...weekend-no-life...on the egde of a suicide...type of BUSY...
Well...long story short...there was this feature called Automation 1.x that was planned...and I was on it....First I thought I was lucky enough to be on it...but..as it happens...it almost killed me...but finally there was a happy ending after hours and hours of struggle for an entire 3 weeks(weekends not excluded).....But funny thing...after this whole episode...the next day in office...I kinda missed it!!!...(Geeky me!)...
And what else...yaa the Intel-Mcafee thing happened since I last blogged....One fine morning Intel decided to shop.....After it went around a couple of malls and trying on some stuff here and there...it decided that it was time to include security into their "Chips".....And they went and googled..."Best security product company +Not too costly"...and BOOM....20 minutes later...we were acquired......But all jokes apart...Its a pretty good move for the whole of chip industry..Lets just wait and see how Intel's hardware guys come up with better chips with Mcafee's security products.....
And lemme give a funny experience I had during this whole fiasco.....I was on a sick leave after almost 2 months...and I didn't even switch on my laptop that day...I was really really sick!!!...And so..i had no idea about this news...Next day am at office at 9 AM...and just 1 of my colleagues....good fren..Raghu's already working....He was doing some deployment...And he just pauses it and comes over and goes...
Raghu: There's BIG news dude..."
Me: Is ***** fired??.."(with a big grin on my face..)
Raghu: Nope...!..its bigger than that
Me: That's what she said...ahh...hmm...Has symantec closed down??
Raghu: Even bigger!!
Me: i donno man...pls temme...or gfys..
Raghu: ok ok..our company..our company....wait for it...(he literally waits for 3 full mins!!!..duh!!?)...has been acquired!!
Me: What the....?
Raghu: Check ur email...Am not telling you which company bought us!!!
And the smart me...knowing how slow the Outlook opens up..just googled up a query and in less than 1 min....saw a company's name...that I wouldn't have guessed even in my dreams..But then am a no-expert in these matters....But now looking back...it makes some sense in a stupid sort of way for now...Chips can be made secure!!!
P.S : Also..am pretty happy today.....got my first promotion....
