Picked up the book '2 states' recently after a friend was touting the humor in it. As soon as I heard that magic word I had to read it!!..The first time I heard about this book was when my colleague dev was asking me to search it on google. Well there are a lot of google tricks that many of us out there are not even aware of!...So with them in your arsenal, we can pretty much say nothing can escape google or it might as well if you don't search properly :).. No offence you final year Stanford project!!! and now a billion dollar enterprise!... So anyways, As it happens...I couldn't find it, even with the SO called tricks!!!..And then I completely forgot about it, ya these are not the days when I will read a book every other day...those cool college days...who isn't missing them...My last book was some call centre true stories type of book....so even though I was hungry for a real book...I didn't have time or one...
And then I started it...and halfway through realised it was pretty late in the night(Wednesday..the middle of the week), the next day have to get up early and go work!..But the book was...what they call?..these critics...ha ya...a PAGE-TURNER..you just have to continue reading the story...Because for starters, its critically funny, very well paced, satirical in a sense commenting on all the stupid and great customs of Indians, Superbly chalked out characters, very contemporary and last but not least as I lived in a campus for 4 long years, I could imagine the story...And full credit to chetan...(Am sure he s glad I am not giving credit to other writers for his piece of art....like the 3I) :) :)... All said and done...one thing's for sure...This dude can write!! and write his ass off..... I wont be surprised if he gets one of those Booker things soon...Mind you..Three Indians already got it!!!...
P.S: Did you know that SRK thinks blogging is funny and pointless!!... Just when I thought he is my all time fav actor....dudeee...you were so so close...
